Turner Expands Deal with Turkey’s Dogan Media

LONDON, July 13: Turner Broadcasting Systems Europe and the
Dogan Media Group are expanding their joint venture partnership with the launch
of two new 24-hour channels in Turkey: TNT and Cartoon Network.

Beginning in January 2008, the entertainment network TNT and
Cartoon Network will be available to Turkish viewers for the first time. Both
channels will be available in Turkish, with Cartoon Network broadcast on DTH
platforms and TNT available terrestrially across the country, reaching about 17
million homes. The channels will be based in Istanbul and new staff will be
hired in the coming months.

Turner Broadcasting System Europe first partnered with Dogan
in November 1999 to launch CNN Turk.

“We are excited to bring new genres of programming to the
marketplace alongside our established news programming,” said Jeff Kupsky, the
president of TBS Europe. “We see great possibilities in the Turkish marketplace
with such good partners.”
