Tricon Presenting New Sci-Fi Series

TORONTO: Forbidden Science, recently added to the distribution catalogue of Tricon Films & Television, blends noir science fiction and erotic programming, and is on offer for buyers at MIPTV.

Filmed in HD, the 13×30-minute series is being billed as “where X Files meets Red Shoe Diaries.” There is also a “softer” version of the show available at MIPTV. The series is set in the near future, centered on an elite corporation whose young scientists download and sell memories. They replace those we’ve lost with clones and devise technology that helps us live out their greatest fantasies.

Carrie Mudd, the VP of development and international sales at Tricon, said: “Sci-fi programming is in high demand at the moment as shown by the worldwide pickup of Sanctuary. This is our second foray into the genre and we believe that Forbidden Science has huge potential for the international market.”
