Towers Productions Fills Development Post

CHICAGO: Towers Productions promoted Mike Schmiedeler, an 11-year company veteran, to VP of development and executive producer, responsible for program origination and editorial oversight.

Schmiedeler most recently served as the managing director and previously as VP of production at Tower. He also prior held the role of director of production and producer. He has overseen the production of series and specials for A&E, History, Discovery, National Geographic Channel, Travel Channel, Animal Planet, PBS and others. He also co-created the syndicated series Sports Action Team, and before joining Towers, Schmiedeler worked as a producer on the PBS series Today’s Life Choices.
