Torrential Rains Cause Flooding in Cannes, Reed MIDEM Responds

CANNES: Following yesterday's downpour in Cannes and the subsequent flood damage it caused, Reed MIDEM has confirmed that MIPCOM will open for business on time tomorrow.


Flood damage in the Martinez Hotel led to the suspension of the MIPJunior screenings, which have now become available online. â€¨â€¨Today's MIPJunior conferences were relocated to the Palais des Festivals Esterel Auditorium.

Tonight's Pre-Opening TV Screening of The Art of More, presented by Sony Pictures Television, is still expected to take place this evening as scheduled, in the Palais des Festivals Grand Auditorium at 6 p.m.


"The whole MIP team, the Palais staff and our Cannes partners are working non-stop to limit the disruption caused by this exceptional situation," said Laurine Garaude, the director of Reed MIDEM'sʉ۬television division.
