Toopy & Binoo Sold in Several Territories

LONDON, November 26:
Entertainment Rights (ER) has licensed the children’s property Toopy &
Binoo
to numerous major
broadcasters.

ER has sold this 2-D
animated preschool series about Toopy, a loveable mouse, and Binoo, a tiny cat,
who are inseparable friends and enjoy life to the fullest, to Rai Sat in Italy,
ETV in Estonia, Cartoon Network in Latin America, Canal J in France, Al Jazeera
in the Middle East, EBS in South Korea, NRK in Norway and Media Corp in
Singapore, with a number of other key territories in negotiation.

Chloe van den Berg, the
director of international sales at Entertainment Rights, commented: “We have
been overwhelmed by the response to Toopy & Binoo. Entertainment Rights continues to live up to its
high reputation for representing some of the best preschool programming to be
found in the international kids TV market. Toopy & Binoo
is an attractive proposition in which to exploit as a strong multiplatform
franchise as well as offering multiple licensing and merchandise
opportunities.”

ER acquired the worldwide
rights (excluding Canada) for Toopy & Binoo from
Canadian-based Spectra Animation in September, and offered the show to
international buyers at MIPCOM. In Canada, Toopy & Binoo is consistently among the five top-rated shows on
Treehouse and Telequebec.
