Toei Makes DVD Deals in Latin America

LOS ANGELES: Home-entertainment agreements have been secured in Latin America by Toei Animation for titles such as the Dragon Ball series and Sailor Moon.

Toei scored a free-TV deal for Dragon Ball Kai with Televisa in Mexico, which picked up episodes one through 54. Separate DVD agreements were wrapped up with En Pantalla in Mexico for Dragon Ball episodes one through 28, Dragon Ball Z episodes one through 72 and Dragon Ball GT episodes one through 64.

Televisora Nicaraguense in Nicaragua signed a DVD deal for Saint Seiya Sanctuary episodes one through 13, Saint Seiya Elysion one through six and Saint Seiya Inferno episodes one through 12. DVD deals with Panamericana TV of Peru were firmed up for Saint Seiya Sanctuary episodes one through 13, Saint Seiya Inferno episodes one through 12 and Saint Seiya Elysion episodes one through six.

A separate deal with signed by Televisora for One Piece episodes one through 104 for DVD. En Pantalla in Mexico is on board for a DVD for Pretty Cure episodes one through 26. DVD agreements were signed for Sailor Moon with Towers Entertainment in Mexico for the entire series and with CD & DVD Factory in Brazil for episodes 90 through 110.
