TNT’s Original Programming Continues to Deliver

ATLANTA: TNT launched its third night of original programming to strong numbers, with 3.9 million viewers tuning in for the premiere of the second season of Leverage and 3.5 million viewers watching the new Jerry Bruckheimer police drama Dark Blue.

The second-season premiere of Leverage boosted TNT’s Wednesday 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. time slot over the prior year by 113 percent with viewers and 70 percent in households. Dark Blue outperformed last year’s 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. slot by 129 percent in viewers and 104 percent among households. Wednesday has become TNT’s third night to feature original programming, which this week notched up a combined 23.5 million viewers across the three nights.

On Mondays, The Closer continues to rank as ad-supported cable’s number one series, averaging 6.5 million viewers and 4.8 million households for its fifth season. The second season of Raising the Bar has been the number one entertainment program in its time slot in viewers (3.3 million) and households (2.6 million). The Tuesday night original lineup features Hawthorn, averaging 3.3 million viewers in its first season, and Saving Grace, averaging 3 million viewers in its third season.
