Tina McCann Returns to Turner for Interim Role

LONDON: Tina McCann will serve as acting chief content officer for entertainment brands in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for Turner Broadcasting, while the company seeks a long-term candidate for the role of senior VP of original series and international development.

McCann is replacing Finn Arnesen, who left the company earlier this month. During her six-month tenure, McCann will be responsible for overseeing development and acquisitions for the EMEA region on Turner’s Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Cartoonito brands. Additionally, she will be responsible for the central creative team and franchise management.

Previously, McCann worked at Turner Broadcasting as a long-standing senior executive until 2006. Her final role was senior VP and general manager of Turner Entertainment for Europe. Subsequently, she has worked as a director at one six eight, a content development and production company, and also as an executive coach and consultant with TMc Consulting.

"Tina brings a wealth of programming and content experience to the company," said Jeff Kupsky, the president of Turner Broadcasting (Europe). "I am delighted that our entertainment businesses will benefit once again from her expertise."
