Time Warner Bulks Up HD Roster

NEW YORK: Time Warner’s Digital TV customers in New York City now have access to more than 175 HD channels, with new international packages and additional digital and on-demand channels also available.

New HD channels that joined the service include Bloomberg HD, WGN America HD, OWN HD, Oxygen HD, Lifetime HD, GMC HD and the premium services HBO HD On Demand, Cinemax HD Om Demand and Showtime HD On Demand.

Along with more than 50 international channels currently available, the company has created several international packages that are designed to provide customers with significant savings. These cost-effective packages also provide access to many popular in-language channels from select countries through specially priced bundles. Hindi Passport includes Sahara Filmy, Sony Asia, TV Asia and Zee TV, while Hindi Pass Plus includes Bollywood On Demand, ITV, Sahara Filmy, Sony Asia, TV Asia and Zee TV. Filipino Pass Plus features GMA Pinoy, GMA Life, GMA DWLS Radio, GMA DZBB Radio and The Filipino Channel. Mandarin Passport includes CCTV-4, CTI Zhong Tian, Phoenix InfoNews and Phoenix NA; Mandarin ETTV Passport includes ETTV China, ETTV Drama, ETTV Financial, ETTV News, ETTV NY and Yoyo TV; and Mandarin Pass Plus includes CCTV-4, CTI Zhong Tian, ETTV China, ETTV Drama, ETTV Financial, ETTV News, ETTV NY, Phoenix Info News, Phoenix NA and Yoyo TV. There are also the Russian Passport, which features C1R Worldwide, RTVi, RTN and TV 1000 Russian Kino, and Russian Pass Plus, with C1R Worldwide, CTC, NTV America, RTN, RTN Plus, RTVi and TV 1000 Russian Kino.

In addition, Lifetime Movie Network and Lifetime Movie Network HD are now available as part of the company’s El Paquetazo package, which provides Latinos with a mix of some of the most popular English- and Spanish-language channels.
