The Defenders Heads to FX UK

LONDON: FX UK has picked up the brand-new legal drama The Defenders, starring Jim Belushi and Jerry O’Connell, from CBS Studios International.

The series is set to debut this fall on CBS, and will launch in the U.K. on FX next year. The Defenders centers on two colorful Las Vegas defense attorneys.

Jason Simms, the senior VP of global acquisitions for FX UK, said: “Our viewers have come to rely on us for the latest and most entertaining content on television and the acquisition of The Defenders builds on that continued commitment. The show has it all, comedy, drama, Vegas and of course the legendary Jim Belushi. We have worked closely with CBS for more than five years having acquired dramas like Dexter, Brotherhood and NCIS, and this agreement will expand our already extensive catalogue of exceptional quality programming.”
