LOS ANGELES, March 21: The
CW has picked up a real-time medical drama pilot from Simon Fuller, the creator
of American Idol.
The project, entitled Austin
Golden Hour, is being written by
Lance Gentile (Third Watch, ER) and Mal Young (Doctor Who). It follows a team of young emergency room
surgeons and EMTs during the critical and suspenseful 60 minutes following a
trauma. The show will also focus on the private lives, relationships, and
rivalries of those men and women.
