Telescreen, WMG Beheer in Animation Deal

HILVERSUM/NAARDEN, October 25: Telescreen will work with
entertainment holding company WMG Beheer on the development and production of
new children’s animation properties that are intended for delivery and
broadcast in fall 2008.

The new partnership with kick off with Western Macaroni, an anime-style western fairy tale currently in
development, and Frog & Friends,
based on the award-winning children’s books by Max Velthuijs. Telescreen is now
accepting offers for merchandising, home video, publishing and television
broadcasting rights in relation to the 26×7-minute Frog & Friends.

Theo van der Schaaf, the general manager at Telescreen, and
Sjoerd Raemakers, the director of commercial affairs at the company, jointly
commented: “We are extremely fortunate to be teaming with WMG. They have wide
ranging interests in the entertainment field which will add value to our
catalogue and bolster our resources with regard to the creation of innovative
children’s programming.”

Telescreen is currently the exclusive licensing
representative in the Benelux for Shaun the Sheep, The Golden Compass and
the Teletubbies, among others.
Telescreen also handles worldwide media rights, including merchandising, for Lizzie
McGuire
(excluding the U.S.) and Frog
& Friends
(excluding the Benelux).

WMG Beheer’s portfolio includes the entertainment company
CNR Entertainment and rock label Roadrunner Records.
