TBS Expands Broadband Offerings for Original Series

NEW YORK, August 7: TBS is launching two new original
projects on its website’s broadband video player based on the series The
Bill Engvall Show
and My Boys.

Ask Bill, tied to The
Bill Engvall Show
, will feature a
collection of segments with Bill Engvall (Blue Collar TV) as his character, Bill Pearson, offering humorous
advice to viewers. There are currently eight installments, with a new segment
appearing each week on tbs.com.

Andy’s Car, promoting Jim Gaffigan’s (That ‘70s Show, Ed) character on My Boys, is a series of comedic vignettes set in the car
owned by the character. There are currently nine installments available on
tbs.com.

“These two projects demonstrate one aspect of our
multi-prong strategy when it comes to broadband content,” said Jeff Gregor, the
chief marketing officer for TBS, TNT and TCM. “The broadband extensions for The
Bill Engvall Show
and My Boys allow us to promote these shows by creating new,
original, very funny content not available through the linear network. In
addition, their presence on tbs.com will help give our already successful TBS
broadband player an opportunity to reach ever greater heights.”

Created by the digital production unit of Turner
Entertainment Networks’ Content Creation Group, the broadband tie-ins can be
found on tbs.com using the TBS broadband video player, which delivered 5.3
million video streams in July, the player’s best month since its launch last
fall.

Users can also view episodes of both My Boys and The Bill Engvall Show through the TBS broadband video player.
