Big Tent, Nicktoons Reach Deal for New Music Video Series

NEW YORK, May 31: Big Tent Entertainment has secured a deal
with Nicktoons Network for Planet Groove featuring The Star Girls, a new animated music video series based on the
original music from the Australian pop group The Star Girls.

The series will consist of 13 2-minute animated music
videos. A broadcast date for the series has not been announced. The series will
be animated by Copernicus Studios, known for creating videos for artists such
as Nelly Furtado, Tenacious D and Weird Al. Planet Groove follows the adventures of the group on a futuristic planet where kids can enjoy
huge multimedia concerts, zoom through space on high-tech skateboards and surf
on interplanetary currents.

Targeted at kids between the ages of 6 and 12, The Star
Girls consists of Angel, Dream, Cheeky and Smiley. The Star Girls topped the
Australian music charts for 16 straight weeks with their number-one song Girls
Like Me
from their hit album The Star Girls From Planet Groove.
Through their music, they teach children about self-love, self-belief with
affirmative life lessons and positive empowerment.

As the marketing and licensing agency for the property, Big
Tent Entertainment looks to build an extensive merchandising program with key
partners in apparel, home furnishings, stationery and accessories categories.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our relationship with
Nickelodeon Networks and having another one of our exciting new properties make
their U.S. television debut on Nicktoons Network,” said Rich Collins, the CEO
of Big Tent Entertainment. “With their age appropriate lyrics and music videos,
Planet Groove fills the void between
preschool and adult music for children. Now with Nicktoons Network on board, we
have the perfect destination and the right creative vision to make Planet
Groove
an out-of-this-world children’s
sensation.”
