Target Signs Output Deal with Scarlet Television

LONDON, September 25:
Target Entertainment has boosted its distribution catalogue by signing an
output deal with the British independent production company Scarlet Television.

Scarlet was established in
November 2004 and is the Manchester-based, factual-entertainment production
division of Medal Entertainment. The shows in Scarlet’s portfolio include Petrolheads for BBC Two, The Real Life Desperate Housewives for Five and Stripped for The Biography Channel. Scarlet is also in
production with a number of new projects for BBC Two, ITV, Discovery and The
History Channel.

“We are absolutely
delighted to secure an agreement with Scarlet, in a short period of time
they’ve built an impressive reputation and some of their content in production
has fantastic potential in the international market,” says Jane Dockery, the
director of sales at Target Entertainment.

“Target has a brilliant
understanding of the distribution requirements of indies and I am excited to be
working with such an experienced international team who will help build Scarlet’s
profile overseas,” adds Trafford.
