Tandem, Starz Media in Co-Production, Distribution Pact

LOS ANGELES/MUNICH, October 23: Tandem Communications has
entered into a co-production and distribution pact with Starz Media, with the
first set of projects due to launch at the AFM: the SCI FI Channel series Painkiller
Jane and an anthology of fantasy/adventure
features.

Starz Media’s president of distribution and marketing, Neil
Braun, said of the deal, "Tandem’s input into our development and
production will give us an ever-important international POV, which will give
our programs a competitive advantage in the market."

The 22×1-hour Painkiller Jane for SCI FI is budgeted at $1.5 million per episode, with production
due to begin in March.

Starz and Tandem will also be working together on six event
features, with four due for delivery in 2007. They are Sands of Oblivion, The Four Horsemen and the Apocalypse, Merlin’s Quest and Necronauts.
