The informitv Multiscreen Index of 100 leading subscription TV service providers shows a net loss of 2.09 million subs worldwide in the third quarter of 2019.

The total number of TV subscribers to the 100 leading services in the informitv Multiscreen Index fell by 110,000 in the third quarter of 2018, marking the first worldwide quarterly decline to date.

Less than half of the 100 pay-TV providers included in the informitv Multiscreen Index reported subscriber gains in Q1 of this year, with the overall base down by some 5 million customers (1.14 percent) in the period.
