AMC Networks is extending the reach for its streaming services Shudder and Sundance Now, bringing the direct-to-consumer platforms into Australia and New Zealand later this year.

Fourth-quarter net revenues at AMC Networks saw a slight dip, down 0.4 percent to $727 million, while quarterly operating income was up 56 percent to $162 million, thanks to a narrower loss at the international and other unit as compared to the previous year's Q4.

AMC Networks has moved in to acquire RLJ Entertainment, which operates OTT channels such as Acorn TV and Urban Movie Channel (UMC).

Net income rose 33 percent to $87 million at AMC Networks in the third quarter.

AMC Networks reported second-quarter net income of $102.6 million, up 34 percent on the year-ago period, with a strong performance from its U.S. cable networks.

AMC Networks' financial results for the first quarter, ended March 31, show a 1.9-percent increase in net revenues to $720 million.
