Taco Ketelaar Takes Top Post at BlazHoffski

AMSTERDAM: Taco Ketelaar, the former chief creative officer of 2waytraffic—and co-founder of the Dutch company that is now owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment—is taking up the role of CEO at the BlazHoffski Group.

Ketelaar becomes CEO of the company, based in the Netherlands with an office in Belgium, on November 1. Dan Blazer, who founded BlazHoffski with Erik van der Hoff in 1996, noted: “As we were looking to further strengthen the group on the business side and manage our growth and feel we found just the person to do this. We are extremely delighted with Taco joining the group and are proud that he has chosen BlazHoffski from the many opportunities available to him. Taco Ketelaar is a leading executive who will bring two decades of international experience. Besides facilitating the growth ambition of the group, Taco will also complement the key strengths of the current management.”

Geert Willems will remain responsible for BlazHoffski BVBA, the Belgian subsidiary which was launched in early 2008. Blazer will now focus on his role as creative director to develop, sell and produce new and existing formats together with van der Hoff and Willems. Blazer created Hello Goodbye, which has been sold into 17 countries.

"BlazHoffski is very well known for its high standard of quality, creative formats and productions such as Hello Goodbye, Mind over Matter and the award-winning drama series Tower C—this will remain the focus for the future," said Ketelaar. "I am looking forward to working with the very talented and fun people such as Geert Willems, Dan Blazer and Erik van der Hoff.”
