Supporting Cast Announced for New FIC Drama

LOS ANGELES, June 10: Fox Television Studios has announced four key cast roles for Mental, its new drama that began shooting in Bogota this week for broadcast in Latin America, Europe and Asia on the Fox International Channels.

The series is from executive producers Deborah Joy LeVine (Lois and Clark, Any Day Now) and Dan Levine (The Division). Chris Vance (Prison Break) stars in the lead role of Dr. Jack Gallagher, a rebellious psychiatrist in a Los Angeles mental health hospital who employs highly radical treatment methods, and Annabella Sciorra (The Sopranos) plays Nora, department administrator and Jack’s boss.

Joining the cast are Jacqueline McKenzie (The 4400), Derek Webster (The Shield, K-Ville), Nicholas Gonzalez (The OC, Resurrection Boulevard) and Marisa Ramirez (Miracles).

"With the casting of Jacqueline, Derek, Nicholas and Marisa, Mental is quickly coming to life,” said David Madden, the executive VP of programming at Fox Television Studios. “These are four gifted actors with significant track records who will thrive on this complex material so beautifully crafted by Deborah Joy and Dan—and yes, they are all traveling to Bogota. We cannot wait for them to join Chris, an edgy star in the making, and Annabella, whom I had the delight of working with on The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, and to roll cameras in Bogota."

The 13-episode series, co-financed by Fox Television Studios and Fox International Channels, will be shot at the FOX Telecolombia production facilities in BogotᬠColombia.
