Sundance Channel to Present New Political Doc

NEW YORK, April 3: Sundance
Channel will produce The War Room +15, a new documentary examining the 2008 U.S. Presidential campaign, for
premiere this October.

The War Room +15 will be directed by Chris Hegedus and D A
Pennebaker, the duo behind the Academy Award-nominated documentary The War
Room
. Released in 1993, The War
Room
depicted the inner workings
of former U.S. President Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign. The War
Room +15
will feature some of The
War Room's
main characters as well
as a crop of new politicos, and takes an in-depth look at how the political
process and media culture have changed since the 1992 presidential election.

Production on The War
Room +15
has begun and will
continue into the summer. Among The War Room veterans on hand for the new film are James
Carville, the political consultant and commentator; Paul Begala, the political
consultant and commentator who served in the Clinton administration as
counselor to the president; and Stan Greenberg, a leading Democratic pollster
and political strategist who has advised the campaigns of Bill Clinton, Al Gore
and John Kerry.

The War Room +15 is produced by R.J. Cutler, Wendy Ettinger and
Frazer Pennebaker, and is overseen for Sundance Channel by Lynne Kirby, the
senior VP of original programming and development, and Samuel J. Paul, the
director of original programming and development.
