Sundance Channel to Air as Branded Block in Belgium

NEW YORK: The Belgian network Acht (8) has dedicated a branded block for Sundance Channel prgoramming, to air Friday nights in prime time starting January 28.

The block will feature Sundance Channel original series, including Iconoclasts, the Forest Whitaker-produced Brick City, Man Shops Globe and The Lazy Environmentalist. Acht will preview the new prime-time block with a special week of nightly Sundance Channel programming between January 17 and 21.

"We are very pleased to start off the New Year by giving additional viewers in the Belgian market a chance to sample Sundance Channel," said Harold Gronenthal, the senior VP and general manager for Rainbow Media Global. "These four unique series have garnered both critical acclaim and an enthusiastic following in the States, and will provide a good taste of what the channel has to offer."
