Sundance Acquires More Titles for Asia Extreme Strand

NEW YORK, October 23: Sundance Channel has acquired 13 new
titles for a second season of its successful Asia Extreme block, featuring cutting-edge genre films from South
Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand in a Sunday midnight slot.

Season two of Asia Extreme will launch on February 4, but three of the new titles will be
available from November 1 to 28 on Sundance Channel-on-Demand in a special Asia
Extreme
package available on Comcast, Time
Warner Cable, Mediacom, Brighthouse and Insight systems. The linear launch
kicks off with Jae-yeon Yun's Wishing Stairs. The on-demand launch will include Lo Chi-Leung's Koma, Takeshi Shimizu's Marebito and Shinya Tsukamoto's Vital.

Laura Michalchyshyn, EVP and GM of programming and creative
affairs at Sundance Channel, noted, "Asia Extreme is a revelation for fans of Asian action films;
these films are reinvigorating the world of genre movies and are definitely
some of the most provocative, intense, innovative and thrilling movies out
there. In many instances these films did not have a U.S. theatrical release and
now audiences can find them on Sundance Channel-on- Demand months before the
television premiere."
