Studio100 Signs Deal for Florrie’s Dragons

CANNES: Studio100 Media and Wish Films UK have struck a co-production and distribution agreement for the new animated series Florrie’s Dragons.

Based on the book Dear Dragon, the 52×10-minute Florrie’s Dragons is targeted at children 3 to 6. The series is written by children’s author An Vrombaut, creator of the series 64 Zoo Lane. The first episode will be available in spring 2010, and the complete series is due for delivery in early 2011. Studio100 Media will handle the worldwide distribution for Florrie’s Dragons outside of the U.K., South Africa and Scandinavia.

Series producer Will Brenton commented, “Wish are delighted to be working with Studio100 to bring this charming series to the screen. Florrie’s Dragons promises to be filled with everything that is wonderful about childhood—a magical world, with a group of dragon friends who make every day special. The stories are all rooted in real life situations and experiences which will draw the viewer in—but when you have dragons as your friends the solutions are always out of this world!”

Florrie’s Dragons is a wonderful project to be involved in,” added Patrick Elmendorff, the managing director of Studio100 Media.  "With their production expertise and track record in delivering hit shows Wish Films is the perfect partner for this delightful series.”
