Starz Bolsters Exec Staff

ENGLEWOOD, August 21: Nancy McGee has been promoted to
executive VP of marketing for Starz Entertainment, where she will have the
additional responsibility for all live-action television productions.

McGee’s remit covers all Starz channels in addition to other
distribution outlets and overall responsibility for branding strategy,
including home video, theatrical and Internet services. McGee reports to Bill Myers,
the president and COO of Starz, and leads a team that includes marketing,
communications, branding, research, online/new media and product development.

She was previously the senior VP of marketing, with
responsibility for branding, marketing, research and new product development
for the Starz channels and related services. Prior to joining Starz, McGee was
the senior VP of marketing and sales for Adelphia Communications from August
2004 to August 2006 when that company was sold to Time Warner and Comcast Corp.

Myers said: “Since Nancy joined us last year, she has
executed a highly successful nationwide branding campaign—our first in
several years—including a bold new logo and a new on-air look for our
channels. She launched the marketing effort for Crash, our first hour-long dramatic series for the Starz
channels. And she leads the team that developed the Starz Green Room events at
the upcoming Democratic National Convention in Denver. Starz is in a period of
rapid growth and change. I am delighted that we have a person with Nancy’s
talent and dedication to ensure that we will have a coordinated and innovative
marketing and branding strategy for all of our new initiatives.”
