Stars & Creative Talent Set for MIPCOM

PARIS: Among the celebrities and creative talents headed to Cannes for MIPCOM are Andie MacDowell (Four Weddings and a Funeral) to present Cedar Cove, Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) to promote Under the Dome and Emily Mortimer (The Newsroom) with her new comedy Doll & Em.

The World Premiere TV Screening will open MIPCOM's first night with The Tunnel, distributed by Shine International and co-produced by Kudos. The screening will be followed with a Q&A with the stars and production team, including Clémence Poésy (Harry Potter) and BAFTA-winning actor Stephen Dillane (Game of Thrones) together with Tom Bateman (Da Vinci’s Demons), Cédric Vieira (Lost Paradise) and Sigrid Bouaziz (Nevers).

MacDowell is presenting the new Hallmark series Cedar Cove, along with her co-star Dylan Neal (Dawson's Creek). Beta Film is touting the show alongside Gomorrah. The Sky Italia crime drama Gomorrah is based on Roberto Saviano's bestselling book. Saviano will be presenting the show at MIPCOM.

From CBS Television Studios in association with Amblin Television, Under the Dome was this summer's number one series in the U.S. Norris, who stars in the 13-episode series, will be joined by Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight) in presenting the series in Cannes.

Mortimer and her co-star and real-life best friend Dolly Wells (Bridget Jones' Diary) will be at MIPCOM with their new comedy Doll & Em, produced by King Bee Productions for Sky Living HD and distributed by Sky Vision.

Newen Distribution will unveil a new season of The Blood of the Vine, with French star Pierre Arditi (Smoking/No Smoking) in attendance.

Jack Davenport (Pirates of the Caribbean) will be in Cannes to present ITV Studios' new six-part series Breathless, along with co-star Zoe Boyle (Downton Abbey) and show creator and writer Paul Unwin. There will be an exclusive screening on Monday, October 7.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell will be hosting a private, exclusive showcase of The Face, a Shine America modeling format, on Tuesday, October 8.

The showrunner and creator of Call Me Fitz, Sheri Elwood, and Michael Gross (Curb Your Enthusiasm) who stars in the new season, will be in attendance. Also guests of Entertainment One are Canadian actress Laura Vandervoort (Smallville), who is heading to Cannes to promote the new werewolf drama Bitten, and Greg Poehler, creator of Welcome to Sweden. Abbie Cornish (Seven Psychopaths) will be attending to promote Klondike, a new mini-series being distributed by eOne Television.

For the BBC drama The Ark, sold by Endemol Worldwide Distribution, Oona Chaplin will be present in Cannes.

Starz Worldwide will present and screen the pirate adventure Black Sails on Monday, October 7, at the International Fiction Screenings. Cast members Toby Stephens, Hannah New, Luke Arnold, Zach McGowan, Clara Paget, and showrunner and executive producer Jonathan Steinberg will be on hand.

On Tuesday, all3media international, Fiction Factory and S4C will present Hinterland. Richard Harrington and Mali Harries will be in Cannes to promote the detective series.

The duo from The Incredible Spice Men, Cyrus Todiwala and Tony Singh, will be at MIPCOM, also with Endemol.

Meghan McCain will be promoting her new docu-talk series Raising McCain, which airs on Pivot and is sold by Tricon Films & Television.
