STAR Launches Star One and Vijay on now TV in Hong Kong

HONG KONG, March 15: STAR
has launched two of its Indian entertainment channels, Star One and Vijay,
exclusively on the now TV platform in Hong Kong.

Starting from today, Star One and
Vijay will be available on channels 797 and 798 at a subscription rate of HK$78
per channel. With the launch, Star One
and Vijay join other Star channels that are currently airing on now TV,
including: Star Chinese Movies, Star Movies, Star Plus, Star World, Xing Kong,
Channel [V] International, Channel [V] Mainland China, Channel [V] India, Star
News, Sky News, Fox News, Star Sports and ESPN.

Launched in 2004 in India, Star One offers viewers a diverse mix of
Hindi entertainment programs that include comedies, reality shows, game shows,
thrillers and youth and lifestyle programs. Its two signature shows, Nach
Baliye
and The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, are featured
regularly among India’s top 50 cable shows. Vijay is one of the most popular
Tamil general-entertainment channels in South India, and will now become the
only Tamil general-entertainment channel in Hong Kong. It offers programs in a
variety of genres such as talent hunts, music shows, sitcoms, thrillers,
reality shows and dramas. Popular programs include the star-search Super
Singer Junior
and the comedic talent hunt Kalakka Povathu Yaaur.
