STAR Bolsters Programming and Production Team

HONG KONG, October 24: STAR has made several key
appointments for its programming and production team, including naming Todd
Lituchy as president of entertainment.

Based in Hong Kong, Lituchy will oversee STAR’s program
planning, production, network creative services, research and scheduling
functions. Reporting to to Laureen Ong, STAR’s COO, Lituchy will officially
join the company at the end of the year. He comes to the position from a stint
at Viasat, having previously worked at UPN and Walt Disney Television.

STAR has also named David Searl as
the senior VP of production and Donovan Castillo-Mohlman as the VP of
program strategy and acquisitions. Searl will be
charged with further advancing STAR’s production capability, while
Castillo-Mohlman will be responsible for developing programming strategies and
acquisitions. Both will be based in Hong Kong and report to Lituchy. Prior to
joining STAR, Castillo-Mohlman served a four-year tenure as the senior program
planning manager at Viasat Broadcasting U.K., while Searl has worked in Asia
since 1985, with more than 30 years of production and programming experience.
