SPTI Inks Movie Deal with Telecom Italia

MILAN, September 26: A slate of feature films from Sony
Pictures Television International (SPTI) will be made available on the IPTV
service Alice Home TV and the ADSL portal Rosso Alice, via a deal with Telecom
Italia.

As of this month, viewers will be able to access features
such as The Da Vinci Code, Serpico, Godzilla,
The Mask of Zorro, Erin
Brockovich
, Men In Black and Stuart Little, among others.

Alice Home TV delivers approximately 2,500 titles per year
from leading Italian and international studios, of which 500 are available
on-demand with 200 updates a month.

“The agreement with SPTI marks another step forward in the
development of our offering of on-demand content for both IPTV and Internet
platforms,” said Massimo Castelli, the chief marketing officer at Telecom
Italia. “Alice Home TV and Rosso Alice have established themselves as
significant channels for content distribution, of films in particular, and from
the major studios.”

increase and diversify our distribution platforms in Europe,” added Stuart
Baxter, the SVP of European distribution for SPTI. “The Italian TV landscape is
changing dramatically with the emergence of IPTV and the growth of pay TV and
