SPT Ups Australia, NZ Exec

SYDNEY: Kylie Munnich has been promoted to VP of distribution for Australia and New Zealand at Sony Pictures Television (SPT), with Jack Ford, the executive VP and managing director for the region, stepping down.

Ford will step down from his executive roles, but will remain as a consultant for the immediate future and will work with Munnich during the transition period. Munnich will be heading up the local team responsible for the licensing of SPT’s television series and feature films to television, mobile and digital clients.

Munnich was most recently SPT’s executive director of distribution for the region. She joined SPT in 2005 as sales director from a role as director for Asia Pacific at MGM International Television Distribution. Munnich reports to Ross Pollack, SPT’s senior VP of distribution for Asia.

“Jack Ford has done a terrific job managing our businesses in Australia and New Zealand, and I know he will make a mark on whatever he chooses to do,” said Michael Grindon, SPT’s president of international. “We’re grateful to Jack for all of his contributions, and also for playing a key role in helping Kylie Munnich grow into an experienced and knowledgeable executive who is now ready to take on a new leadership role. I’m confident that she’ll continue to provide her clients with extraordinary service and anticipate a great future for her at SPT.”
