Spirit Airlines to Feature Looney Tunes Images Onboard

NEW YORK: Cartoon Network and Spirit Airlines have inked a deal to transform the interiors of Spirit’s airplanes with images of Bugs Bunny and his fellow cast of characters to coincide with the launch of the new TV series The Looney Tunes Show, premiering on the network tonight at 8 p.m.

Cartoon Network, a division of Turner Broadcasting System, worked with media production company Global OnBoard Partners to develop custom graphics for interior plane wraps that feature Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig and other Looney Tunes characters. As part of the deal, the wraps will remain in Spirit planes until early June.

Vicky Free, the VP of 360-degree consumer marketing for Turner Broadcasting’s animation, young adults and kids media group, said of the deal: “The use of on-board advertising on Spirit Airlines is a perfect way to promote our all-new series The Looney Tunes Show to traveling families. Our team at Cartoon Network, created original artwork that brings the modern personalities of the Looney Tunes characters to life and the experience planes showcase them in a relevant and fun way like no other media venue can.”
