SPI is about to launch channels in the Caribbean with two operators in Trinidad and Tobago, and Haiti. The company has also secured formal approval from the Brazilian regulatory body ANCINE (Agência Nacional do Cinema) to launch nine FilmBox-branded channels in the country’s pay-TV market.

SPI International’s pay-TV portfolio includes 12-plus thematic channels. Among the channels in its portfolio are FilmBox Arthouse, which features arthouse and independent films, as well as FightBox (MMA programming), DocuBox (documentaries), FashionBox (fashion/shopping), Fast&FunBox (adrenaline sports), 360TuneBox (independent music/art of video), MadscreenBox (interactive gaming), Kino Polska International (Polish cinema), Kino Polska Muzyka (Polish music) and FilmBox Russia (Russian movies). Some of these channels have already been carried by IPTV platforms in the U.S., including Boost, TMO and Sprint. The bouquet also includes two adult channels: Erox and Eroxxx.

FunBox 4K/UHD, meanwhile, is one of the first TV channels to broadcast in Ultra HD. It is carried by Vodafone in Portugal and Spain and will soon air in the Netherlands and Luxembourg. The channel features documentaries and TV series, among other content.
