Southern Star Takes New Lifestyle Series

SYDNEY: Southern Star International has taken on the exclusive distribution rights outside of Australia for the new lifestyle series homeMADE, through a new deal with the William Morris Agency in the U.K.

homeMADE, the first project from Cavalier Television, is being produced for Nine Network Australia. The 16×1-hour show features ten up-and-coming designers from around Australia, who completely makeover two suburban family homes every week in competition to win $100,000. Each week, the designers are split into teams of two, and their challenge is to meet their client’s brief while also impressing the judges.

The show’s executive producers, Julian Cress and David Barbour of Cavalier Productions, said: “We are absolutely delighted to continue our relationship with Cathy Payne and her brilliant team at Southern Star. homeMADE is a great simple format that delivers unprecedented drama in this genre and we are really looking forward to working with broadcasters to bring this exciting new show to audiences around the world."
