LONDON: John Rossiter has been appointed as the general manager for Sony Pictures Television’s (SPT) networks in Central Europe.

Rossiter, based in Budapest, will report to Eddie Nelson, the senior VP of networks for EMEA at SPT. Rossiter will oversee the development of SPT’s networks in the region.

Previously, Rossiter was the senior VP of operations and business development at HBO in CEE and was responsible for distribution and management. Prior to HBO, he worked in London at SPT and Buena Vista Television International.

“It’s brilliant to welcome back John to Sony Pictures Television,” Nelson said. “His enthusiasm, strategic insight and detailed knowledge of Central Europe will bring immense value to the business as we enter an ambitious new growth phase in the region.”
