Slice Renews Breakthrough’s Plastic Makes Perfect

TORONTO, October 5: Canadian broadcaster Slice has ordered a
second season of 13×30-minute episodes of the factual series Plastic Makes
Perfect
from Breakthrough Films &
Television.

Breakthrough Films & Television plans to showcase 26
half-hour episodes of Plastic Makes Perfect at MIPCOM. Each episode of this series looks at a prevailing belief
about beauty, through comedic hidden camera tests and the real-life experiences
of women who go so far as to have cosmetic surgery to change their appearance.

“We are delighted to announce that Slice has commissioned
the second season of Plastic Makes Perfect
prior to the market,” said Ira Levy, the executive producer at Breakthrough
Films & Television. “The ratings for season one has been phenomenal and we
anticipate similar success internationally with season two.”
