LONDON: Sky Atlantic HD has commissioned a pilot for The Devil’s Dinner from ITV Studios, along with tapping Cineflix Productions for the new series Treasure Seekers, with both moves coming alongside the start of production on the observational docu-series Brixham: Fish Town.

The Devil’s Dinner format features a psychological game around the devil’s dinner table. The diners are engaged in a socially uncomfortable battle, testing their honest, ambition and ability to manipulate the group dynamic. The game plays out over one evening under the eye of the devil’s man servant, with contestants answering personal questions that test self-awareness and self-delusion.

Sky Atlantic HD also commissioned a new 8×1-hour series from Cineflix Productions, Treasure Seekers (working title). The show follows collector Paul Liengaard and interior designer Sarah Brunner as they discover hidden treasures to be reclaimed, restored and brought back to life. Cineflix will also produce digital content to complement the TV show. The Seeker’s Handbook allows visitors to find out how successful "seekers" find bargains, refurbish objects and sell them for profit. Other digital extensions will include blogs from the hosts, webisodes and out-takes.

The recently commissioned Brixham: Fish Town (working title) is a ten-parter that will be produced for Mentorn Media by Neil Grant and series producer Jim Funnell. Each hour-long installment provides a look into one of Britain’s oldest and busiest fishing ports. The show features the point of view of the people who live and work there. Production on the project is now under way.
