Sky Arts Secures Ovation Docs

CANNES: DRG, which represents Ovation’s original programming library, has licensed four of the network’s specials and a six-part series to Sky Arts.

The programs will air on Sky Arts 1 HD and feature contemporary arts programming, including Jeff Koons: Beyond Heaven, an hour-long documentary exploring the life and work of the artist; Everything is Art, a one-hour special covering Jason Miller, Smart Design and John Maeda; Close-Up: Photographers at Work, a special that follows acclaimed photographers Albert Maysles, Andrew Moore, Gregory Crewdson, Sylvia Plachy and Timothy Greenfield-Sanders; and Close-Up: Portraits features an insight into the philosophies and techniques of some of the most accomplished photographers today. Also featured is Art and the City, a six-part series hosted by David Keeps, the travel and culture writer for the Los Angeles Times, as he takes viewers on a cultural tour of some of the world’s greatest cities.
