LONDON: Connected Pictures has been commissioned by Sky 1 HD to produce The World’s Youngest Daredevils, an hour-long documentary about children with unusual talents.

In the film, which has a working title, Myleene Klass travels the world to discover the ingenuity, bravery and talent of exceptional children, including a 10-year-old cage fighter, a baby bullfighter and the world’s youngest lion tamer. The project marks Klass’s first authored documentary and is Connected Pictures’ first commission for Sky 1 HD.

Katherine Parsons, executive producer for Connected Pictures, said: “As a child prodigy pianist herself, Myleene brings exceptional insight to this project. She is the ideal author for the film. We are delighted to be working with Sky 1—they moved quickly to commission this show and have been very supportive throughout the process.”

Celia Taylor, the head of factual at Sky 1 HD, commented: “These extraordinary kids with seemingly extreme lives should make for a challenging and fascinating documentary.”

Klass added: “Every day making this film felt exciting and revelatory. On the one hand, I was totally charmed and entertained by these charismatic children, and amazed by their bravery and ingenuity. But on the other hand I was worried for their safety. I would ask viewers to come to the film with an open mind, and understand that their culture and circumstances are very different to ours in the U.K.”
