Produced by Shaftesbury Films for The Family Channel in

about a modern blended family that has forced together two willful teenagers,
Casey (Ashley Leggat) and Derek (Michael Seater), who are each used to being in
charge and determined to keep it that way. Derek and Casey’s younger siblings
also wind up caught in the middle and change allegiances depending on the issue
or the size of the bribe. The series was created by Daphne Ballon.

“The MacDonald-Venturi household appeals to kids and
families worldwide,” said Shane Kinnear, the VP of marketing and sales for
Shaftesbury Films. “The warmth and authenticity of the stories is what makes
this show a hit not just in its native Canada, but across the globe as well. We
are very proud of the success that Life with Derek continues to enjoy.”
