Sesame Workshop Hires New Marketing VPs

NEW YORK, December 2: Two
veteran marketing execs have joined Sesame Workshop: Karen
Driscoll, who will serve as VP of marketing services, and Diana Polvere, taking
on the role of VP of market intelligence.

Both are newly
created positions and report in to Suzanne Duncan, the VP of Sesame Workshop's
brand strategy and marketing group.

Driscoll will
oversee the development and execution of marketing plans and programs in
support of Sesame Street and The Electric Company. She will lead a
team responsible for both consumer and trade marketing programs that build
affinity and affection for the Sesame Street brand, growing its audiences
across multiple distribution platforms.
Driscoll will also assist with campaign ideas, connecting activities
across departments and proposing synergies to maximize resources and
opportunities. She joins the company from Nickelodeon, where she spent nine
years helping create and direct marketing programs.

Polvere will
provide producers and businesses with insights about audiences, markets,
customers and performance relative to the competition. She will lead a team
responsible for primary consumer market research, syndicated research and media
research. Polvere joins from American Express, where she led a team in their
global marketplace group providing research insights for key business
initiatives, new product development, product-line strategy, brand
communications and positioning.
