More Series Mania Details Unveiled

New details for the upcoming Series Mania were unveiled at press conferences in Lille and Paris, including news that Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill) and Freddie Highmore (The Good Doctor) will be among the guests of honor.

Marti Noxon (Sharp Objects, Dietland) will serve as jury president, heading up an international panel that boasts actresses Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife) and Audrey Fleurot (Kaamelott) and screenwriters Delphine de Vigan (No and Me, Based on a True Story) and Thomas Lilti (Hippocrates).

Along with Thurman and Highmore will be guests of honor Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones, producers on the hit Black Mirror; actor and director Yves Rénier (Les Cinq Dernières Minutes); director and screenwriter Éric Rochant (Mafiosa, The Bureau); and producer Hugo Blick (The Honourable Woman).

The Series Mania 2019 Official Competition will feature Baghdad Central (Stephen Butchard; U.K.), Chambers (Leah Rachel; U.S.), Chimerica (Lucy Kirkwood; U.K.), Eden (Edward Berger, Nele Mueller Stöfen, Marianne Wendt; France and Germany), Identification (Valery Fedorovich, Evgeny Nikishov; Russia), Just For Today (Nir Bergman, Ram Nehari; Israel), Lambs of God (Sarah Lambert; Australia), Mytho (Anne Berest; France), Twin (Kristoffer Metcalfe; Norway) and The Virtues (Shane Meadows; U.K.).

Comprising the French Competition are The Last Wave (Raphaëlle Roudaut, Alexis Le Sec), Super Jimmy (Camille Pouzol, Stéphane Drouet, Lionel Olenga), Family Shake (Baya Kasmi), Osmosis (Audrey Fouché), Soupçons (Lionel Bailliu, Yann Le Gal) and Une Île (Gaia Guasti, Aurélien Molas).

The upcoming Series Mania Festival is set for March 22 to 30 in Lille.
