Serbian Treatment for SevenOne’s Galileo

MUNICH: Serbia is the latest territory to sign up for SevenOne International’s sciencetainment magazine Galileo, with the half-hour show airing Saturdays and Sundays on Prva TV.

Airing under the original title Galileo, the half-hour magazine show airs on Serbia’s free-TV channel Prva TV with host Milos Urosevic, a former weather presenter on Fox Television. Galileo first debuted in Germany on ProSieben in 1998, and has since been adapted in a slew of countries, including Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Russia, Spain and France.

Axel Böhm, the regional sales director and head of international fiction acquisition at SevenOne International, said: "With its unique combination of science and entertainment, Galileo is one of the most successful sciencetainment magazines worldwide. It is great to see how well the format travels and I am sure Galileo will fascinate the Serbian audience as well."

Ivan Kleut, the producer of the Serbian version, added: "Galileo is a unique format that has an educational content packed in a dynamical entertaining form. The lack of that kind of program in Serbia will attract various generations, families and friends to this show. Knowing that the TV audience is looking for educational and science formats on cable channels, we strongly believe that Galileo will be a success on a national TV channel."
