Sensing Murder Recommissioned in NZ

COPENHAGEN, October 31: TVNZ has commissioned a second season
of the paranormal reality format Sensing Murder, distributed by Zodiak Television World.

The first season delivered shares of up to 44 percent in its
prime-time slot. Production on the five new episodes is almost complete by
Ninox Television, with broadcast planned for early next year. This new season
also features a special 90-minute follow-up documentary.

Sensing Murder has
been a breakthrough series on our schedule, capturing the nation with its
unique approach to investigating unsolved murders,” said Jane Wilson, the head
programmer for TV1 and TV2 at TVNZ. “TVNZ is committed to the continuing
development of the format with series two, although still in production,
already looking to have an even wider appeal with our audience.’

Heather Stevenson, the president of Zodiak Television World,
added, “Sensing Murder has always been a
key format for us, and it’s fantastic to realize the value of the huge creative
input and vision both TVNZ and Ninox have put into the series, moving the
series into a re-commission and a 90-minute special. It has clearly given the
series a strong position on the New Zealand program landscape, and we all look
forward to our first returning series in New Zealand.”
