SCIENCE to Air Brian Cox’s Wonders of the Universe

SILVER SPRING: SCIENCE has slated the BBC’s Wonders of the Universe for a July debut in the U.S., with physicist and professor Brian Cox hosting the four-part series.

Cox takes viewers on a journey into deep space by examining things that are familiar here on earth. The all-new season looks at how the same physical laws that describe the behavior of light, gravity, time, matter and energy on our earth can be applied to the qualities of the greater universe. Wonders of the Universe launches with new episodes on July 27 at 9 p.m. on SCIENCE, with new episodes to air over four consecutive weeks.

"It is our mission at SCIENCE to provoke our viewers to think about the world beyond their home—and in this case, the universe beyond their world," said Debbie Adler Myers, the general manager and executive VP of SCIENCE. "Wonders of the Universe offers our audience the closest possible experience to an actual tour of the cosmos—and there is no better guide to take them on this journey than Brian Cox.  Viewers are bound to fall in love with his rock star charm and infectious enthusiasm—he’s a force of nature."
