Sagansky Takes Chairman Role at RHI

NEW YORK: Industry veteran Jeff Sagansky has been named non-executive chairman at RHI Entertainment, with Robert Halmi, Jr. remaining on the Board and continuing in his role as president and CEO.

Sagansky will provide strategic counsel on the diversification and distribution of RHI’s library, a prime source for TV movies and mini-series on the global market. Sagansky is a former co-president of Sony Pictures, president of CBS Entertainment, president and CEO of Paxson Communications (now ION Media Networks) and president of Tri-Star Entertainment. He is also co-founder of Electric Sky Entertainment, the outfit behind the online shows Afterworld and Gemini Division
