Russian Deal for Rainbow Properties

 CANNES: Russian broadcaster CTC has picked up Rainbow’s PopPixie, in addition to acquiring more installments of Winx Club. 

The deals includes four new Winx Club TV movies, as well as the fifth season of the series. CTC already holds the rights for seasons one through four, which have aired to much success in Russia. The Winx Club movies will air this fall, followed by a re-run of the third and fourth seasons. Winx Club 3D Magical Adventure will air in January 2012, followed by a re-run of seasons one through four in the lead up to the launch of the fifth season. 

CTC also went for Rainbow’s PopPixie, which it will launch in the fall. 

"As you know we treasure our long-years partnership and we’ll be happy to put your new animated series on air," stated a spokesperson for the channel.
