NEW YORK, June 6: Ron Meyer has signed a new
five-year contract to continue as president and COO of Universal Studios.

Meyer will remain Universal Studio's top executive
through at least 2012, continuing to lead NBC Universal's motion picture, parks
and resorts, and studio operations. He has served in this role since 1995,
making him one of the film industry's longest-serving studio heads.

“Ron
has long been one of the most respected and admired executives in the
industry,” said Jeff Zucker, the president and CEO of NBC Universal, to whom
Meyer reports. “He knows this business inside and out, has an incredible eye
for talent, and inspires intense loyalty among everyone fortunate enough to
work with him. He is a crucial part of NBC Universal's success and I am
thrilled he will continue to drive the growth of our film and theme park
businesses for years to come.”

Meyer
adds: “I am very pleased to continue in this role for the next five years. I am
fortunate to have a terrific team of executives at Universal, and Jeff has
shown us tremendous support, empowering us to embrace the ever-evolving media
landscape, expand internationally, release an exciting 2007/08 slate, build
amazing new theme park attractions and vigorously pursue the many business
opportunities that lie ahead.”

Meyer
was appointed President and COO of Universal Studios on August 1, 1995. Prior
to joining the company, he was president of Creative Artist Agency, Inc., which
he founded in 1975 with four fellow agents from the William Morris Agency.
Previously, Mr. Meyer was a television agent with the William Morris Agency
from 1970-1975, and prior to that worked at the Paul Kohner Agency from
1964-1970. He served in the United States Marine Corps.
