Rogers OMNI.1 Takes Brazilian Telenovela from Globo

TORONTO, August 29: Rogers OMNI.1 has secured an exclusive
broadcast deal with Globo TV International for the Brazilian telenovela Shades
of Sin
, which will air weekdays in Ontario
beginning Tuesday, September 4 at 4 p.m.

The network will air more than 200 half-hour episodes of Shades
of Sin,
which earned a 73-percent average
audience share during its first run in Brazil and became one of Globo’s top
performers in 2005. Shades of Sin,
airing in Portuguese, is historically based and features a cast that includes
Gionvanna Antonelli (The Clone),
Reynaldo Gianecchini (Terra Speranza)
and Aline Morais (Women in Love).
Shades of Sin is directed by
Denise Saraceni (Torre de Babel). The Clone, Terra Speranza and Women in Love are all telenovelas that have previously aired on
OMNI.1.
