What are some of your top properties for MIPTV?
Push The Button, Young Professionals of The Year, Give Us A Clue, Take Me Out, Let’s Dance

Why will these programs appeal to buyers?
FremantleMedia is taking a very strong slate to MIPTV. We have a fantastic variety of exciting new entertainment, gameshows, and factual entertainment formats joining our proven world-leading shows like Got Talent, X Factor, Idols, Farmer Wants a Wife and Family Feud, and we’re confident that buyers will find a programme that their audiences will love.
We have the U.K.’s hottest new game show with Push The Button, which is a revitalised, supersized version of a traditional family game show that’s airing with superb ratings on ITV1. It’s big, bright and lively, and it’s a perfect primetime hit where two families compete against each other in some very funny, unexpected challenges for a cash prize.
We also have the hit Dutch comedy game show Give Us A Clue, which sees celebrity teams battle to out-mime each other in a studio-based charades game. It’s a light hearted and hilarious peek into celebrity imaginations and the whole family can play along.
Young Professionals of the Year on the other hand is a BBC format that celebrates young workers. It’s a talent competition about real people, with real lives, in real jobs, putting real emotions in the spotlight as they strive to be the named as the best in their fields. It won an enthusiastic audience in the UK and is sure to do the same elsewhere.
We’re also very excited to be bringing FremantleMedia’s hot dating format Take Me Out to MIPTV. This visual, provocative and very funny show was among the world’s top five fastest travelling formats last year, and it’s now a big ratings winner in the UK, the Netherlands and Denmark, among others. It’s been steadily lighting up schedules and delighting Asian audiences, and the first Latin American version of the format will soon launch in Chile.
Let’s Dance is a sizzling entertainment format from Whizzkid which sees celebrities pay homage to iconic dance routines, and it is toe tapping its way around the world. It was a number one primetime sensation in its first UK season, and it’s now back for a second successful series. It’s also aired in the Netherlands and Germany, with more countries to follow.

What are your goals and expectations for MIPTV?
FremantleMedia had a very successful MIPCOM last year in spite of the economic climate. We continued to see very strong demand for our formats; Got Talent, for example, has a spectacular track record of recommissions and continues to sell to new territories, and our dating format Take Me Out is now really taking the world by storm. I am looking forward to another good market for us this time as we have a great selection of shows in our slate, with proven ratings winners and some fresh new formats that we’re very excited about.
