Record Serves Up Novela and Doc Slate

SÃO PAULO, April 3: Brazil’s Record TV Network will be at MIPTV next week with a slate of new novela productions to build on its success with the hits Proof of Love and The Slave Isaura, as well as a selection of documentaries.

Love and Conspiracy focuses on two sisters: Valquiria, an ambitious woman who steals her family’s money, causing her mother’s death, and runs away to Rio de Janeiro; and Alice, a kind, honest woman who, after her sister’s betrayal, seeks justice.

In Ways of the Heart, love, adventure and action combine with a story of a doctor who experiments with in-vitro fertilization, resulting in children born with special gifts.

These join the returning hits Proof of Love, a story about a girl who was kidnapped and looks for a happy ending as she tries to find her family, and the 2005 version of The Slave Isaura.

The documentary lineup includes the wildlife offering Extreme Savage, Reporter Record, which places a focus on Brazilian nature, and X-Ray Adventure.
